Who we are
A house of prayer, carrying forward the worldwide work of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries here in Aurora, Colorado.
Who We Are
MFM Colorado 1 is a branch of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, a Bible-believing, prayer-driven ministry led globally by Dr. D. K. Olukoya. In Aurora, we gather as a family committed to prayer, the Word, and practical faith.
Our Mission
As a branch of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, we carry the ministry's founding mission: "MFM Ministries is a full gospel ministry devoted to the Revival of Apostolic Signs, Holy Ghost fireworks and the unlimited demonstration of the power of God to deliver to the uttermost."
In Aurora, that mission is lived out through prayer, biblical teaching, and deliverance ministry that meets our members exactly where they are.
Mission statement per MFM international headquarters, mountainoffire.org/About/Mission.Our Vision
MFM's founding objectives guide the vision we hold at MFM Colorado 1:
- To propagate the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ all over the world
- To promote the revival of Apostolic signs, wonders and miracles
- To bring together children of God who are lost in dead churches
- To train believers in the art and science of spiritual warfare
- To train believers to receive Holy Ghost baptism and fire, and a daily walk with the Holy Spirit
- To maintain an aggressive deliverance ministry wherever we are
- To build an aggressive, heavenly-bound end-time army for the Lord
- To build up prayer eagles
Our Beliefs
MFM Colorado 1 holds to the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Statement of Faith:
- The Scriptures are the inspired Word of God, the only basis for our faith
- One God existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
- The fall and depravity of mankind, necessitating redemption through the Blood of Jesus
- Salvation through Christ's redemptive work and the Holy Spirit's regenerating work
- The Baptism of the Holy Spirit: Acts 2:4, 10:44, and 19:1–6
- Restitution for past wrongs, where feasible
- The ordinances of the Church: the Lord's Supper and Water Baptism
- The Church, both visible and invisible
- A divinely called and scripturally ordained ministry, approved of Almighty God
- Divine healing as provided by the Lord Jesus Christ
- The Rapture, and believers' participation in the Marriage Supper of the Lamb
- The second coming of Christ to physically return to earth
- Christ's millennial reign
- The final Judgment
- The New Heaven and the New Earth
Our Community
From children to seniors, singles to families, MFM Colorado 1 is built around its ministries: small, caring communities where every member is known and cared for.
Our History
Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries began in 1989, when Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, newly returned to Nigeria after completing his Ph.D. in the United Kingdom, started a Wednesday prayer meeting with 24 brethren in his own living room. As verifiable miracles began to happen among those who attended, people started traveling from far and wide seeking spiritual help, and the fellowship quickly outgrew his home.
The ministry moved first to 60 Old Yaba Road in Yaba, Lagos, then to an abandoned slum at 13 Olasimbo Street, Onike, Yaba, which has since been transformed into MFM's International Headquarters. The church held its first official service there on April 24, 1994, the date now recognized as its founding. From that single prayer meeting, MFM grew into a strategic network of branches across Nigeria's states and localities, with international branches beginning in London before spreading to the United States, Canada, the rest of Europe, the Caribbean, Africa, and Asia.
MFM Colorado 1 carries that same legacy of prayer forward here in Aurora, as part of MFM Mega Region 4, USA, under the leadership of Pastor Dr. Babatunde Akinbobola.
